How to support a new author?

Every book, especially a debut, needs readers and supporters. To give my little autistic heroine and her lost wolf the best chance of stretching their legs and running far (further than Urho Kekkonen National Park!), I need your help!

This book is the beginning of the international writing career I’ve dreamed of for years. And you can make a difference!

Pre-Order if you can!

Pre-orders are the best way to support a debut author. They tell bookshops and publishers that there’s already excitement around the book, which means they’re then more likely to order a big stack or put it in the window, which helps new readers discover it. So even if you’re planning to buy it anyway, ordering it early makes a huge difference.

I’ll get it from the library, though.

That’s okay! So once the book is out, you can request it from your library. This helps more than you might think. Every time someone borrows my library copy in the UK, I will receive a tiny payment. You get to read it for free, and I get a few pence! Yay!

Other Ways You Can Help (For Free!)

• Follow me on Instagram (mute me if you need to, I won’t mind).
Share my posts about Lumi and the Wolf.
• Add the book as Want to Read on Goodreads, Storygraph, etc.
• When you get a copy, leave a review on your online bookshop.
• Post on social media (thank you in advance!!!)
• Watch my YouTube videos and leave comments. If a video is popular, YouTube will push it to new viewers, too, who might then discover my book!
• Tell someone who might love the book, especially parents, teachers and librarians.

Thank you for your support 🥰

Supporting diverse authors and stories, especially in children’s books, genuinely matters. It means we matter and if you help me, publishers and bookshops will learn this too! Thank you for helping keep our stories alive and accessible.
